Meh.

Average. Not worth 4.99

Great App

I have configured this app to work with my four D-Link DCS cameras. I needed to port forward my router to gain access from outside my local network. I love the grid view. So far I have enjoyed reliable operation both on my local network and over 3G on an iPhone.

DONT BUY

This app does not work at all. It is probably just a FRAUD to get your passwords and spy on you. Absolute waste of money. If I could rate it zero stars I would. Wish I could get my money back too.

Useless

Does not play sound

Five dollars it is not necessary.

- The sound is not present. - There is no support RTSP

does not work in 4.2.1

does not show the video in a big window after a double-tap on the small window !!

BUG - unintended zoom in fullscreen view

Switching in fullscreen view causes camera to switch into zoom view. Please FIX this nasty bug. Camera DCS-7110.

Save your money

Only works at the camera location. What a waste of my money. If Im home, I dont need this program... Da . Do not buy!

Ive been looking for an app like this

The app works very well with my 5300 series cameras I have 7 of them. However I would like to be able to record video and replay it on my iPad if possible, like the dLink software. That would be a great feature.

Does not work

Keeps telling me I have a slow connection and that it cannot connect. Garbage.

This app doesnt work!!

I have 2 dlink cameras & the model is included on the list they have as supported, but the app never connect to them, this is a fraud!

Dlinkddns 5220 ptz

It works fine for the video but pan right seems to be an issue along with no zoom. It would be nice for some real PTZ buttons at the bottom of the screen. Ddns login worked too but thats more a function of dns than this app.

Works for me

Works on dcs930L thank you

Does not work

I have the DCS-920 and it is listed saying this app will work for it but it doesnt. If Im on my own WiFi it works but getting to to work in 3G or another WiFi good luck.

DSC-5300G

This is my review I left for the uDlink-Cam, which may be useful to some for it compares both this app and the uDlink Cam app. Purchased this ((uDlink) and this D-Link) app. put on my iPhone 4 & iPad 2. Heres my review based on my D-Link 5300G; First off there are 2 main apps for these cams this one and the D-Link labeled one and there both have been given 3 though honestly Im being generous IMO. And for you to decide it depends what features you want more. This app offers pinch & pull to digitally zoom in on any area of the viewable screen. D-Link doesnt. To pan & tilt you need to push a menu button on the right upper hand side which is translucent which then opens 2 more translucent menu bars 1 along the bottom screen and one along the top of the screen. (The D-Link uses touch screen P/T.) The top menu bar cuts rite into the cameras time stamp on both devices just ugly! The bottom bar contains the home and navigation buttons however the home button DOES NOT WORK ON THE iPhone 4! But does on the iPad! Also on the i4 the viewing screen has black bars on each side of it it is not full screen like it is on the i2! That said, the D-Link does not do support fullscreen or any where near it on either device but the D-Link does support both viewing modes regular and landscape. This app only supports landscape. The D-Link does not zoom, doesnt have a home button at all but does have a live pause button on the bottom of its screen. Both take screen shots and save them to your camera roll, big whoop we can do that without a button! Set up is easy on both apps both work over 3G as well. Quality of picture not that great but that can just be my cam I suppose. But both apps show these great clear pictures in there descriptions which just makes you think your gonna get better quality which isnt gonna happen. Also I should note I tried both apps whith excellent quality settings and just good quality settings there doesnt seem to be any difference between them whatsoever! Im sure I left somethings out but leave you with this factoid the D-Link hasnt had a single update since October 2010 and only 1 other besides that which I can remember for multitasking support. Which everyone had to scream about to get! O 1 last thing about this app it has a bug where the video jumps and it sort of does this odd movement in the viewing window and it happens on both devices. Neither of these apps has support for your predefined viewing angles.

Excellent!

Works great with my D-Link DCS-930L! Setup was easy and painless.

Dont Waste Your Money

This app is garbage! Save your money and get the free app from Dlink in the app store. I bought this one first without doing my homework. You cant access your camera even with 3G coverage because it times out.

Meh

Was not quite worth the money. Priced a little high since it does not do much or offer any higher quality in video streaming. It works well in my home, a little hard to set up unless you really know the exact data to enter. Make sure you have your computer on to log into the cameras setting to find that info. It however does not work too well away from my home wifi. A little annoying since that is the whole purpose for installing it. I cant find any rhyme or reason for this but I keep hoping it will work soon. I paid the money for it so I am committed to keeping it on my iPad. Should it perform better I shall amend my review. Good luck.

Works great

I have 4 DCS cams the 900, G900, 930L, and a 1100. Works better than the pc software. Setup was a breeze, just need the login, password and port...80. If your running a Dlink cam setup that this supports well worth the money.

fishdaddy

Waste of money. Wont connect outside my own wi-fi network.
